Hi, my name is Alex Copeland and I work with Richard Fairbairn and the Online Success Model Team. And here’s the next video in our INSTAGRAM course; Marketing on INSTAGRAM step by step.
In this next section we’ll teach you step by step how to use INSTAGRAM as a powerful marketing tool. In this section you will learn,
At first, I’m going to show you how to setup your INSTAGRAM for a business profile.
So to properly market and promote your business as well as your office on INSTAGRAM you will need to operate as a business profile. You can do this by switching from a personal INSTAGRAM account to a business INSTAGRAM account. Doing so is pretty easy and you’ll simply need to start by logging into your personal INSTAGRAM account by either entering your registered phone number or registration email or your INSTAGRAM username. Then you enter your password and tap on log in.
In our case we’re going to log in using the username. So just tap that and it takes us in there because I have logged in before. If you were asked for a password now, you would enter it and then hit login. Once you’re inside your account look for the profile icon on the lower right corner of your device’s screen and tap on it. Now, you’ll see that there’s 3 line button known as menu button located on the top right corner of the screen; tap on that. You’ll be taken to the options section from where you’ll be able to configure INSTAGRAM account settings.
So let’s move on to the next bit by going to the settings. Simply look for the switch to a business account. Tapping on this is what will allow you to use INSTAGRAM as a business and you can get access to INSTAGRAM’s business tools. This allows you to see insights about your followers and learn how your posts are performing. And it will also allow you to create promotions that will help you grow your business. You can always change back to personal if you want to at a later date.
The next step is to connect your business profile with your Facebook business page. Do this by typing on the linked accounts option then you’ll be asked to continue to Facebook using your account of choice. Now we’ve already done this and we have used all the full Facebook account, so you should also make sure that you’re signed into Facebook on the device before doing this.
Next I’ll ask you to allow INSTAGRAM to post to Facebook for you and you can allow it to manage your pages and this should be your business page. If you don’t have one you can also create one from here.
As I said we’re already set up with this, but you should just follow these instructions to setup your business profile and you’ll be asked your business email or phone number and your business address. If some of this information is saved on your Facebook page then INSTAGRAM will pull it from there and there’s no need to put it through again.
Congratulations! It’s that simple. Now you’ve switched to INSTAGRAM business account. You can also add Twitter and various of other social platforms here. In the next video we’re going to walk you through your new business settings.
